No more diarrhea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have somewhat solid poops. It's the little things in life. No?

We went back to los Pisingos for Mateo's social history and a tour. I hate this part. It breaks my heart, Mateo's story, Lucy's story, ALL one hundred and thirty stories of the kids that are living there. There are 22 babies right now. I wish we could bring them all home with us. Somehow seeing the toddlers is the hardest for me. Maybe because they are almost the same age as Lucy. Maybe it's because there are so so many. Maybe it's because they're so darn cute. But mostly it's because they seem to need us more.

And then there is this little peanut of ours, Mateo. Our sweet sweet boy who has experienced so much in his brief life on this planet. Some would say that Mateo is so lucky to have us. Let me clear about this. WE are the lucky ones. We are blessed to have this little guy be a part of our family.

He is a gift.

Oh Phyllis, that makes me so very sad. With all the people that want families ones would hope that there would be no children with out a loving home. Yes, we as a family are very very blessed to have Lucy and Mateo in our family, but those others sound like they need a blessing too......that would be so very very hard. Miss you guys.

I love all the expressions of Mateo! In almost every photo he has a different look! He is so cute. Yes, it is very sad to see all the children that would love to have a family. Makes one wonder why the adoption process takes 2+ years before a referral is given. There are so many children that need loving families. I am happy to hear that you are into more "solid" days! Get out and enjoy the nice weather and parks in Colombia. We are having some cold days back here in the Midwest.

my feelings exactly, Phyllis! It broke my heart when we went to Ayudame. So many children, yet so few that will actually know the love of a family!

solid poop...ah, the good things in life! Little things sometimes mean a lot, really!

It is hard to hear you talk about the kids there at the orphanage, I couldn't imagine experiencing it. It is truly sad.

Yes, Lucy and Mateo are beautiful gifts. And I hope I won't have to remind you to share!!!

Hi Phyllis,
Mateo is adorable as is Lucy. Is there an age limit for parents adopting infants from that orphanage.

It is the little things! Every day down there is a new adventure, huh?

Hope you get to make your first market excursion tomorrow...maybe with a stop for some helado on the way home??? Your talk of the Colombian food is making our mouth water here by the way! Athentic Colombian ajiaco?? YUM!

Happy to hear all is well...
